Barb Larson, Lois & Stanley

For over 20 years I've been fortunate to own dogs, train dogs, groom dogs and work with dogs all over the country. I was grateful to have the chance of going to Professional Dog Grooming School in Wisconsin and I've groomed almost every breed under the sun.

When you groom dogs you truly have to learn dog training tricks to keep your dogs sitting still while you clip them.

When we lived in Los Angeles, I worked in a grooming shop near Manhattan Beach doing almost 23 dogs a day. Another groomer and I joined together and set up a mobile gooming van taking it to Hollywood having all sorts of fun doing some very famous celebrities. I think they could have paid me just to see their homes and all their terrific dogs.

One thing I was asked all the time was if I had any good training tips. Well, if you're like me, I try to save all the good ideas I've heard over the years and use them on my own dogs.

As with anything, some ideas and products work great with certain dogs and others just don't stick. So we created The Momma Dog website to offer many different training and obedience tips and tricks along with products that can help every dog owner.

Stanley - Research & Development Vice President

Stanley and Training Tips Stanley is responsible for Testing All Our Training Tips and Products. He especially likes testing the Training Tips because he gets a treat after each test. He's never been one to pass up a toy either. His goal is to completely tear it up within 2 minutes. I think that's why they call them Tear-iors.

That Treat Keep Pouch is his favorite. All he needs is for one of his human co-workers to shake it and he comes running. Must be a treat inside?

Lois - Vice President and The Momma Dog

She directs all sales and marketing functions for the company and bosses Stanley around. Somebody has to tell that boy what to do.

She likes Treat Keep but her favorite toy is
Jumpin Weasel. That furry tail that jumps around just makes her crazy. She just doesn't understand how it can fly around so fast. She does her ten minute exercise with this each day and then has to get back to work.

Lois was truly The Momma Dog. After she had her first litter, she taught us a lot how a true Momma Dog begins teaching the puppies. What we observed actually can be used in training your own puppies.
